Our audio engineers and technicians can convert your sermon, seminar, lecture, message, or live music performance from analog to digital files, and burn them onto CD at "Red-Book" CDA standards. In addition we can convert your CDA to WAV, MP3, or SWF file formats for uploading onto the internet.

What is Analog Audio Conversion?

Analog audio conversion is the process of playing an audio recording in analog format (cassette, record, etc,) and recording it to digital format. If neccesary, the recording is then processed and mixed using state-of-the-art digital recording equipment and editing software. The end result is then burned to a Master CD to Red Book CD Audio standards. The Master CD can be enjoyed as-is, or can be used for mass CD duplication.

Audio Cassette Tape Transfer

Audio tape suffers from the same issue as all analog magnetic tape: a reduction in fidelity over time. Deterioration can be much greater with repeated playback. At this time Omega only provides double-sided standard audio cassette transfers to CD or digital files.

Approximate Play Times:

• Standard play cassette tape: 30 min per side
• Long Play cassette tape: 45 min per side
• Single play Cassette tapes: 3.5 min per side

We offer a number of restoration and mixing services, such as noise/hiss reduction, crackle/pop reduction, normalizing, compression, adding effects, equalization, and other custom editing services.

Crackle & Pop Reduction

Crackle & Pop Removal Service utilizes state-of-the-art software to analyze the audio waveforms, identify and remove the high frequency crackling, clicks, and pops inherent in vinyl recordings. It does an excellent job of cleaning up less-than-perfect audio without a noticeable effect on the sound quality. Each recording is manually corrected by our technicians, to ensure the best possible results for the sound issues associated with that particular disc. Note: Excessive noise, and other artifacts from severe surface damage may still be audible, though highly attenuated.

Noise & Hiss Reduction

Primarily applied to transfers of audio cassettes, our Noise & Hiss reduction service utilizes professional software tools to evaluate and reduce frequencies specific to your transfer which may be causing excess noise. While difficult to completely remove noise without affecting key musical or speech frequencies, judicious application of noise removal technology can greatly enhance and ressurect otherwise weathered recordings. Spin your vinyl on CD!

There are literally thousands of recordings from the past century that have not - and probably will not - ever be released on compact disc. Maintaining the equipment to play back vinyl records, tape reels, and even cassettes is becoming quite expensive. We can convert these priceless recordings to digital format, allowing them to be digitally preserved and played on your CD or MP3 player, or computer!

Vinyl record transfers are an imperfect science, but we take great care in offering the best possible sound replication available. We carefully clean and inspect all records before transfer, and use only light-weight, low-impact diamond-tipped cartridges. We currently transfer 33 1/3 and 45 RPM records.

Custom Compilations

Custom compilations are conversions we produce which may contain sound from different media sources. This service is available at the same pricing as single media transfer/conversion.
